Hampi is one of the most fascinating ruins in the world and also listed on the UNESCO world heritage list. This impression comes on the one hand from the raw and rough landscape and on the other hand from the beauty of the ruins and there location close to the river Tungabhadra. According to Hindu mythology is this the place where Rama the monkey general Hanuman and his monkey king Sygriva were meeting for the first time.
As it is very famous there were also a lot of tourist, cafe, restaurants, gift shops, etc. Therefore I decided after visiting the most important spots to leave for Bangalore.
