Mumbai is very big and hot and there is also a lot of chaos. My first hotel is situated 29 km from the city centre so it took me more than an hour to go there by trein. They have here specific lady compartments in the train which actually makes you fell more secure as a lonely travelling woman. Today I only walked around in the city centre which is build by the Englisch when they were here. Some of buildings are in bad state, but you can still imagine how impressive it must have been in those days. Secondly, in the centre you also face poor people who are begging for money or lying on the road sleeping. Or you get followed by people who want to sell you a guided tour...of course for a bargain...hahaha... So you hear all the time ..mam, look here, please buy this, give me some money for food, buy me some rice, mam, I make you a special price..after a time you fell like escaping from the city centre..So I took the train back during rush hour time and apart from the it was extremely crowed inside the bus or train you got asked if you dont want to give up your seat to someone else which of course none of the people did.Still, they are all very helpful, tell you how to jump of the train and give you directions to find your way back to the hotel. This time it took me more than 2 hours.
Good night,
Bianka
